Dewberry Farms

I volunteered to go on the field trip with Taylor's class to Dewberry Farms yesterday. Wow what fun, but man... I was exhausted when it was over. All I could think about was a nap. However, by the time I got home I had less than 2 hours to pick up the house to go get Taylor for dance and be home for our church group to come over. I managed to grap a 20 minute nap, which I even had a dream. Woke up just in time for the alarm to go off and thought to myself I can manage to squeeze in another 17 minutes. Dozed off again and had another dream. I must have been tired! I took some pics at the field trip yesterday. Look at how much fun! I even bought an 18 lb pumpkin which we will carve tonight. I can hardly wait. It will be so much fun!

We have a heartbeat!!!!

We went to see my Dr. yesterday for my first official appointment. Peaches did the ultrasound and found the baby and the heartbeat with no problem. There is was beating at 115 beats per minute. What an amazing thing to see. After all we have been through it was a huge relief to see that our baby is nice and cozy and here to stay. God is so good and faithful!!!! Here is his first photo.

How did this happen????

OK... so I am still in complete shock here! The past month has been crazy for us. Started with Ike on September 12th. Then Nick turned the big 3-0! So... I decided to take him to Lake Charles to play a little black jack for his birthday last weekend. While there I started feeling so sick on Sunday. I was thinking what is wrong with me? I thought maybe it was the crawfish bisque I ate, which btw... was delicious! I wanted to just stay in the bathroom all day Sunday and Monday. Then... Monday evening went grovery shopping and thought to myself... hmmm... maybe I should grab a pregnancy test. As I was checking out the lady bagging my stuff said, "Are you pregnant?" Of course I was thinking to myself... heck no I am not... there is NO WAY I am!!! I was feeling silly even buying that dang test. So... got home and decided I would just wait a while to test. It was stupid to waste my money in the first place. The next day happened to be October 7th. Which for me is a very special day. 9 years ago on this day my honey proposed to me. Also... it happened to be our dating anniversary before getting married. So... 13 years later here I am talking to my friend on my cell saying... girl I really just don't feel good. She said have you tested. Well.... no... there is no WAY I am pregnant... that is just wasting a perfectly good test. But... when I got home I decided what the heck... I will go ahead and throw $5 down the toilet and to my suprise it was positive! WHAT??? How did this happen. It has now been almost 2 years since we started trying to have a baby. We have lost two last year and gone through many tests just for the Doctor to say our chances are slim to none. I am still in shock but so thrilled. So far everything looks good, but we need to continue to pray that this baby stays healthy and strong and will survive the 9 months. So... as of right now we are due June 16th, 2009. Which of course our daughter has a ballet recital on the 13th of June and we were invited to go on a cruise on June 8th to see our friend get married. I can definitely say the cruise will not happen and we might have to have our parents video our daughter in the recital. Oh well... I will take what I can get. I am so thrilled I can hardly stand it!!! Here is a picture of my tests from Tuesday the 7th and Thursday the 9th! WOOHOO!!!! Thank you Jesus for our little miracle!!! Mext ultrasound is scheduled for October 23rd so please continue to pray for us and our baby until this day!
