Carly had her first photo shoot!

My awesome friend Claire (Claire Hill Photography) was nice enough to take some awesome photos of my baby girl. She is such a doll. Check out these photos.

Carly made her grand entrance a little early!!!

Seems like just yesterday I had scheduled to get a prenatal massage and a haircut. Both on the same day.

May 21st, 2009.

6:30 am - Wake up and take Taylor to school.

8:00 am - Prenatal massage.

11:15 am - Posted on Facebook that I would be scheduled to be induced within two weeks.

11:30 am - Went to get my haircut.

12:15 am - Water broke leaving the haircut place.

1:15 pm - Arrived at the hospital thanks to my good friend Laura.

1:45 pm - Checked into my room and in labor. 2 cm.

5:15 pm - 4 cm and loving the epidural.

6:15 pm - Epidural wore off and got some more serious meds. Numb all over... shakes... nausea..

8:15 pm - 5 cm and feeling really drugged up and can't lift my leg worth anything.

8:30 pm - Taking bets if Carly will be born before midnight so it will be on her NaNa and PawPaw's anniversary.

9:00 pm - 9 cm and almost time to push.

9:40 pm - Nurse wants to do a few trial pushes to see how it goes. After three pushes with contractions she says to not push any more becuase her head was right there. They called the doctor and we waited. There were two other ladies who would be delivering before me.

10:03 pm - Dr. Lee arrived.

10:08 pm - Carly was born after two pushes. This was way to easy. LOL! She was 7 lbs and 19 1/2".

Carly ended up having to stay a third night in the hospital due to jaundice. The hospital staff was nice enough to let me have a courtesy room for free for Saturday evening. We made it home by lunchtime Sunday May 24th.

34 Weeks and counting

Well it seems that time is just flying by. I was 34 weeks yesterday!!! I have been trying my best to get things done around the house to welcome baby Carly home, but I tend to just be lazy most days. Today is one of them. All I have done is clip some coupons...make a grocery list... take a nice long bath...and play on the Wii. That is it! I wish I had the energy to do something around the house but it seems I have reached the point where I start to retain water and swell like a balloon in my hands and feet by doing the smallest tasks. This morning the clipping coupons made my hands swell. How is that? Well all in all... things are going well. Baby Carly should weigh about 5 lbs now and should be around 19" long. This just means we are running out of room. My next appointment is on Wednesday. I should start going weekly soon. I will try my best to keep you up to date.

Getting ready for baby Carly...

Well... I have been working HARD getting this house ready for Carly to arrive. Her room is starting to come together. We have the crib up and a temporary mattress in there till we get ours. Her room has by far been the easiest as we didn't change much of anything but buy some bedding to match the room as it was already painted. Taylor's room is so close to being done. I painted an old armoire black this week and put some fabric on the doors. We made a headboard for her bed and made risers to lift the bed up for storage underneath. It seems all I have left to do is the finishing touches with pictures on the walls, etc... And... our room has had a whole new makeover. We sold our bedroom furniture and bought some new along with a king size bed. PRAISE JESUS!!!! Just had it delivered last night and I already love it! We will be ready before we know it!!!

Taylor is 7!!!!

Is it possible that Taylor is 7 now???? My baby is not a baby any more. When will I realize this? Maybe never. She will ALWAYS be my baby and I hope that she will always cuddle with me! For her birthday this year I did NOT make her cake. This is a first. I also did nothing to get ready for a party. We went to the Incredible Pizza Company on her birthday and we ended up spending a good 5 hours there. PHEW! I was worn out after that one! I was just getting over having the flu and I was having sever back pains this day, but I made it through it and we had a blast. Here are some highlights.

We are having a girl!!!

On Tuesday January 20th we went to see the doctor for our 20 week ultrasound and within seconds he said... "It's a girl!" We were very fortunate to have both my mom and Nick's mom there with us and Taylor too. Taylor was so excited. The look on her face was priceless. She thinks they will get to dress alike now. Hmm.... we will see about that. We are very excited though and have already started the process of moving Taylor into her big girl room. The baby will be in Taylor's old room that is very princess like. Now Taylor's room will be purple, hot pink and zebra print. We still have some work to do by painting some furniture... hanging things on the walls... and wait for the rest of the bedding to come in. She does love her new room though... here are a few pics of the room in progress.

Taylor's Christmas Dance

Taylor's dance studio puts on a small performance for parents during the holidays. This was a very special treat to be able to see Taylor perform some dances she has learn the first half of the year. She looks so grown up!
